Merie is an Interior stylist | Design consultant
Native New Yorker Merie Subryan, has always possessed an affinity for interiors. She grew up visiting notable building sites around New York City with her father, who worked closely with architects in the fire protection industry. Her love of interiors and architecture blossomed further after spending summers in Europe as a teenager. Seeing Michelangelo’s “The Sistine Chapel” in Vatican City exposed her to a world of endless nuances, influencing her unparalleled view of art, architecture and design
Merie’s “Let’s create as unique individuals, no groupthink” approach illustrates her love for intrinsic collaborations. She treats every home as her laboratory, enlisting honest dialogue with her clients. “I want to create hyper personal spaces that blend my client's ever-evolving worlds, one that transcends time, exploration and the resonance of objects.”
Her design language intentionally uses light, materiality and space to tell a story between place and the meaning of objects beyond its material value. In view of her meticulous and unconventional eye, she creates remarkable spatial experiences that are rich in visual and sensory perceptions, imbued with character, playfulness and artful elements.
Merie studied Interior Design at Parsons, The New School and holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology.
She has been featured on Dwell, The Strategist, Curbed and more.
